Snips and snails

I will be working with boys as my new subjects. I have never done this. All my art usually deals with girls. I am excited about this venture into the land of snips and snails. I am in the midst of the first boy themed image and I am really happy with how it is turning out. I will post it soon.

A Toast to technically abled husbands!!!

I have not been able to post anything new here in days because 1. my computer died last Wednesday and 2. I could not figure out how to log back in to this blog. 

My awesome husband fixed both problems for me!!! 

So a toast to all those technically inclined husbands and for that matter wives, boyfriends , platonic friends, to all those technically inclined  a huge thank you!

What I have been up to

Arn't they cute! I am so pleased with them. 

O.k. right now I am  terrible blogger. I am trying to find time to do many things in a short time span on a daily basis right now. So I hope you will forgive my at times sparse posting. I am sure my head will organize itself in time and I will post less sporadically, but for now I am just trying to keep up.

 

Heres some cool news. Oh my life is about etsy right now so most posts will be related to etsy related topics. Back to the cool news. 

I was invited by a college professor from Montserrat college of art  to speak to her class about my art. I am quite flattered that someone would ask me to do so. It would not be until this coming fall. I will post more on it when it happens.

I made 3 sales over the weekend. Two were fairly large. So Yay! I am excited about that.

Yesterday I spent the day trying to promote my shop. I sent the editor of Better Homes and Gardens an email  and I looked all over for the email address of Martha Stewart's Living but to no avail. So I sent one of their blog sites an email instead.  I have to try right? 

My efforts tonight will be put into creating a new image to list. Though I have been saying that for 2 days and have not gotten very far. Tonight it will happen. At least I will create more than just a blank page.

The round images above are designs I am thinking of making pin back buttons with. I need to find the most affordable way to do so. That is also on my to do list for this week.

Making new stuff today

Sorry for not having any new pictures today. I will be making more items to put in the shop. 

I have not made anything new so far this week. Feels like its been longer than that. 

I will try to post the new items tonight if I get them finished.

Big move

Yesterday I had a critique in one of the etsy forums. They told me it might be a good idea to have my user name match my shop name. In order to do that you need to open a new shop and transfer everything from the first shop to the new one. Also you loose all your convos and sadly all your harts. I spent a good 3 hours moving and setting up again. Whew! I think it will be worth it though. Having a matching user name and shop name will make things less confusing for my customers and my name will be easier to remember. My new shop is named A rabbit girl.

Promoting my Etsy shop

I did not have enough  time today to post a create and post a new image on my shop today. Instead I spent it looking into the etsy forums page. There is a ton of good information on it.

The one I thought most interesting was this critique blog site by Timothy Adams.

I will add the link to my link list on the right side of this page. If you have an etsy shop its worth a visit. Also his shop timothy adams designs has some beautiful things in it. I will list that tlink as well. So now it late and I should move from the computer and go take a bath. Good night all.
